How Prince Insulation Got Here

Prince Insulation was started in 1980 by Dewayne Hill's father-in-law. For its first 28 years it was a fiberglass outfit: batts and blown-in fiberglass, installed by a crew of two to six people.

Dewayne took over the business in 2008. In 2010 the company started spraying foam, adding open-cell and closed-cell spray foam to the fiberglass work it had always done. A second spray rig followed in 2017 and a third in 2021. Today Prince Insulation runs 12 full-time employees out of its warehouse and office on Hill-Coulson Rd in Decherd.

Who We Work For

Most of our work is residential new construction: insulating houses for building contractors and for people building their own homes. We also take on commercial projects, and retrofit and re-insulation work on existing homes and buildings.

Builders need an insulation crew that shows up on the scheduled day and finishes so the next trade can start. Homeowners want a clear quote and a job done right the first time. Three spray rigs and our own full-time crew give us the capacity to do both.

What We Install

Spray foam (open cell and closed cell), fiberglass (batts and blown-in), attic insulation for new and existing homes, the blown-in blanket system (BIBS) for wall cavities, crawlspace encapsulation, vapor barriers and dehumidifiers. Our crawlspace encapsulation is a full system: a 10 mil vapor barrier, taped seams, wrapped pillars and R10 closed-cell foam on the perimeter foundation.
